International Collaborative Grand Rounds (ICGRx)
The World’s first Grand Round (ICGRx) took place in 2016 at the Gordon Museum in London in collaboration with the BMJ and University of London Faculty . ICGRx is run by stakeholders including patients, students and clinicians from across the world. The goal is to provide free open access learning and share best practice globally. See for the World’s 1st Grand Round!
I participated in the first International Collaborative Grand Round (ICGRx) in March 2016, which Rajiv Sethi devised and coordinated. It lived up to its name, with participation from medical education organisations from around the world to discuss a patient case. It was really interesting to see the different perspectives and expertise offered from different organisations around the world. I believe this collaborative approach to medical education will become increasingly necessary in the future and the ICGRx project is a leading light in helping to facilitate learning between medical students, doctors and patients around the world.

UK Primary Care Research Collaborative
The first Research Collaborative for Primary Care led by Students and Trainees
The UK Primary Care Research Collaborative was established in 2016 to engage students and trainees in primary care research. Inspired by the successful STARSurg Surgical collaborative we hope to showcase the varied opportunities available in primary care. STARSurg runs national audits and is now operating at all UK medical schools and over 150 hospitals. Our aim is to engage primary care workforce in an interprofessional manner. GPs, Students and trainees are often required to complete audits, the UKPCRC provides a way for these individuals to contribute to national projects making an important difference on patient outcomes.
